Shorebirds

Shorebirds are one of my birding white whales - I haven't put much time in on the shore, but someday, my chance will come.

Black-Necked Stilt

I got lucky with this one - Black-Necked Stilts are rare in Ohio, but they've started coming to Howard Marsh (located next door to Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge and Magee Marsh Wildlife Area in Northwest Ohio). Just me and a large crowd of Amish birders, checking out the muddy flats for this rarity.
