The wide range of birds that soar over the ocean - and my local Great Lake, Lake Erie - and in the case of Ring-Billed Gulls, infest my local big-box store parking lots. (To quote Finding Nemo: You're rats with wings!). Still, I have a soft spot for even the ring-billed gull; it's how I got my start in bird photograph, trying to take pictures of the gulls hovering over Lake Erie on a gray November morning.
