The Cleveland Photo Society buys box seats in the front row of the Cleveland Air Show every year, and I go with my Sister-in-law Jackie to try my hand at air show photography. I've got a new Sony photo rig for the airshow, a Sony A1 ii with a 300/2.8 and sometimes 1.4x teleconverter. (Longer than that and I'm too close for the planes, I think). The high frame rate of the A1 ii gave me some amazing shots - and a lot of throwaways; I took about 1.7 TB (yes, terabytes) of pictures. I had to load them to an external SSD just to have space to make my first pass for potential keepers. post is my pictures from this year's air show, and I have a companion post on How to Shoot Air Show Photos.
