Flitting over the nearby lakes, swallows are common here in Northeast Ohio. And, what a treat! At least, when I'm not trying to take pictures of them. I try to get my lens pointed at them as they zip by...no luck. I've had better results staking out nests and shooting as they come in for a landing, and even then, it was quite a challenge.
